Howick Beach

Howick

Small beach close to Shamrock Cottage restaurant. Early settlers arrived here in 1847. A short wharf was built by the 58th Regiment in 1854 and added to in 1898. It was dismantled in the 1950's but the cut off piles can be seen at low tide.
